Mt. Shiraga and Mt. Matsuo traverse hiking

Mt.Shiraga is one of the 100 most famous mountains in the Kansai region. If viewed from the south, it is characterized by its beautiful, hunched shoulders, and is also called "Tamba Fuji," or Mt. Shiraga From the top, a 360 view is possible, and the ridge is connected to the neighboring Mt.Matsuo. The route starts from JR Furuichi Station, traverses Mt.Shiraga and Mt. Matsuo via the trailhead, and ends at JR Sasayamaguchi Station. The distance is 11.4 km, and the course is quite tough as there are rocky mountains to climb and ropes and chains to grab on to. There are no convenience stores near the station. Please be sure to bring your own lunch.
