Mt. Ousaka Night Hike overlooking Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival

Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival is one of the most popular fireworks festivals, attracting 350,000 visitors every year. A whopping 10,000 fireworks are set off over Lake Biwa. Why don't you come and look down on the fireworks display from Mt. Ousaka, which was a barrier to enter Kyoto in ancient times, as a unique project of Kansai Hikers? The distance is about 8 km and the elevation is 325 m. It is a gentle hike, but be careful as you will be walking in the dark. From the top of the mountain, you can enjoy a spectacular view over Lake Biwa. You can also rent a headlamp for +500 yen.
