Strange white rocks Dondurubou and Mt.Nijo Hiking

Grading:

This hike will take you to the beautiful white oddly shaped rocks of Donzurubou and the start of the Diamond Trail to Mt.Nijo. The walking distance is about 12 km, and the mountain level is 4. At the end of the tour, a reward awaits you at the roadside station Futakami Park, where you can shop and finish with sweet soft ice cream. Dondurubou, a 150-meter-high rocky peak where volcanic debris was deposited by the volcanic activity of Mt. Nijo and tuff was exposed by subsequent uplift, resulting in a strange group of rocks after 15 million years of weathering and erosion. From the starting point of the Diamond Trail, we will aim for Mt. Nijo. There are few difficult sections and it is a popular mountain climbed by many locals. From the summit, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Osaka and Nara plains. After descending the mountain, stop by a roadside station to buy vegetables and sweets. Take a rest before heading back to the station.
