Wazuka Tea Field Hiking, a cafe with a spectacular view of the sky
Wazuka Town is the main producer of Uji tea. The area is famous for its “Ishidera Tea Field” scenery that seems to reach to the sky, and hiking while viewing the tea fields that stretch across the entire town is a popular activity. At the Wazuka Tea Café, visitors can purchase tea and sweets recommended by tea farmers, and at the Tenku Café, they can bring their own lunch and eat what they purchased at the café while enjoying the spectacular view. The mausoleum of Prince Azumi and the large cedar at Yasaka Shrine are also noted as power spots. The walking distance is about 8 km, and you can walk on paved paths, so sneakers are fine. How about a slow hike for beginners to enjoy the scenery of tea plantations?
