Mt.Hiei Short Hiking in Autumn Leaves
Hieizan, a World Heritage Site famous for its autumn foliage! The hike is about 7 km, and the ascent is by cable, so it is an easy and enjoyable hike. We will take a group photo in front of the famous “HIEIZAN” monument before setting off! We will pass through a spectacular view point where Lake Biwa spreads out below us to the highest peak, Ohhiei. Actually, there is no admission fee to Enryakuji Temple on Mt. Hiei if you enter the temple via the trail! Visit the East Pagoda and see the Konpon Chudo Hall. You can also buy something sweet at the shop👍. Descend the mountain toward Lake Biwa. There are beautiful autumn leaves on the way down. Please return to JR Hieizan Sakamoto via Keihan Sakamoto Hieizamaguchi, whichever you prefer.
