We will hold an event to enjoy snowshoeing in fluffy fresh snow! All rental equipment is available, and even if you fall down, it won't hurt, so even inexperienced snowshoers can enjoy the experience! On the first day, we will visit Shirakawago, a world heritage site famous for its Gassho-zukuri style houses. From the observatory, you can see the traditional Gassho-zukuri style houses covered with snow. Stay overnight at Miyamaso in Okuhida Onsenkyo. The hotel has a 100 year old sunken hearth, an open-air bath in the garden where you can enjoy the snowy scenery, and kaiseki cuisine prepared with a variety of mountain delicacies. On the second day, we will finally experience snowshoeing! Take the Shin-Hotaka ropeway, the only double-decker ropeway in Japan that allows you to easily experience the world above the clouds, and enjoy the magnificent nature at an altitude of 2156 meters and the Northern Alps in severe winter! On the way to Nabedaira Kogen, put on snowshoes and enter the silvery white world. We can rent a complete set of clothing, spats, gloves, etc. so that anyone can join the tour with nothing. Our guide will be Mr. Yamamoto, owner of Sessho Hutte, a mountain lodge on Mt. Yarigatake. He will lead us through an area of soft fresh snow where there are no footprints. Slide down the snow-covered slope like a slide, fall down on the fresh snow, take a deep breath in the forest...refresh your mind and body!
