Kashiwara Suisen Gorge in Full Bloom & Visit to Shigi-san Chogosonshi-ji Temple

Grading:

We will host a hiking event to climb Mt. Takao, starting from Kashiwara Suisen Gorge, in search of daffodils at their peak. The walking distance is approximately 8 km, and the mountain is a low elevation (less than 400 m), making it a perfect choice for your first hike of the new year! You can choose to meet at either JR Kashiwara Station or Kintetsu Katashimo Station. After a 30-minute walk, we will arrive at the trailhead, and another 30 minutes up the trail will bring us to the Kashiwara Suisen Gorge, a hidden gem where fields of daffodils are in full bloom around mid-January—a perfect spot for a group photo! From Mt. Takao, enjoy panoramic views of the Osaka Plain, followed by a lunch break near the entrance of Shigi-san Nodoka Village. A restaurant offering take-out croquettes and burgers is available. After lunch, we’ll visit Chogosonshi-ji Temple. At around 2:00 PM, those who wish to take a bus can depart from the Shigi-san Bus Stop. For those who prefer to continue walking, we’ll descend to Oji Station, which will take about an hour, concluding the hike there.
