Sakoshi Alps Hiking & Gourmet Oyster Lunch with Stunning Views of the Seto Inland Sea

Grading:

The Sakoshi Alps is a scenic hiking trail offering stunning ridge views of the Seto Inland Sea and vibrant seasonal nature. Covering a distance of approximately 10 km with a maximum elevation below 250 m, this low mountain ridge course is ideal for beginners. Starting at Sakoshi Station, the hike traverses four peaks: Chausuyama, Hojusan, Tsuboesan, and Mikan-no-Hetayama. The diverse terrain and panoramic sea views provide a refreshing hiking experience. From the ridgeline, you can admire scattered islands and the expansive ocean, enjoying a sense of accomplishment amidst the serene natural surroundings. At the end of the trail, we’ll arrive at the Umi no Eki Shiosai Market, where you can savor a delectable oyster lunch made from the freshest seafood—a well-deserved reward after the hike! Note: The oyster lunch at "Kuidouraku" in Shiosai Market is first-come, first-served, as reservations are not accepted. Depending on crowd levels, there may be a wait. Bringing snacks or light food for the hike is recommended.
