In early spring, the Daiichi Nagisa Park transforms into a stunning sea of yellow with 12,000 blooming rapeseed flowers spread across 4,000 square meters. With the backdrop of the serene Lake Biwa and the snow-capped Hira Mountains, it’s a picturesque spot perfect for photography enthusiasts. After enjoying the rapeseed fields, you’ll walk across the Biwako Ohashi Bridge, offering panoramic views of the expansive lake and the majestic, snow-draped Hira Mountains. We’ll take a short break at Michi-no-Eki Biwako Ohashi Kome Plaza, where you can shop and warm up, before returning to Katata Station. With a walking distance of approximately 5 km, this leisurely hike invites you to savor the breathtaking seasonal scenery at your own pace.
