Popular rocky course Mt.Nakayama Range Hiking and Nakayama temple plum
The Nakayama Mountain Range stretches majestically across the northern side of Takarazuka City. Known as one of Kansai's representative satoyama (low mountains), it attracts hikers of all ages throughout the year with its lively atmosphere. One highlight is the popular "Takarazuka Rock Garden," where you can enjoy a thrilling rock-climbing experience. The descent takes you through Oku-no-in (Inner Sanctuary) and ends at Nakayama-dera Temple, where you’ll witness a stunning display of 1,000 red and white plum blossoms blooming along the slopes. With a total distance of about 10 km and rocky terrain, this hike is rated Level 4. Bringing gloves is highly recommended.
