Diamond Trail Part ①: Mt. Nijō to Mt. Yamato-Katsuragi
The Diamond Trail is a 50km-long ridgeline trail maintained by Osaka Prefecture in 1970, stretching from the Kongō Mountain Range to the Izumi Mountains, from Tonzurubo to Mt. Makio. Why not challenge yourself to complete this popular trail, beloved by many hikers, through a series of four events? The first part begins with climbing Nijozan, where cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and continues through Iwahashiyama, ending at Mt. Yamato Katsuragi, Osaka's highest peak. This challenging long-distance hike covers approximately 17km with an elevation gain of 1,750m. It’s an ideal opportunity to level up your mountain skills and build endurance for alpine traverses. Part 2: Late April - Mt. Yamato Katsuragi to Mt. Kongō Part 3: Mid-May - Mt. Kongō to Kimitōge Part 4: Early June - Kimitōge to Mt. Makio Those who complete all four Diamond Trail events will receive an exclusive Hikers sticker as a completion prize!
