Japan's No. 1 Cherry Blossom Spot Yoshino Hiking
Yoshino Mountain, located in Nara Prefecture, is known as Japan's number one cherry blossom spot. The cherry blossoms at Yoshino Mountain have a history of 1,300 years, and they are revered as sacred trees, protected with great care. In spring, around 30,000 cherry trees of about 200 varieties, mainly Yamazakura (Japanese mountain cherries), bloom, creating an unparalleled sight known as "Senbon Zakura" or "One Thousand Cherry Trees." From late March, the cherry blossoms start to bloom in the Shimo Senbon area, and the Oku Senbon area continues to bloom until mid-April, allowing you to enjoy cherry blossoms for a long time. The Okusenbon area, the deepest part of Yoshino Mountain, is a mystical and tranquil space, deserving to be called a power spot. Along with the beautiful natural scenery of the national park, you will also find historical sites like Saigyo-an and the World Heritage site, Kinpu Shrine. This is an ideal place for those who want to escape the daily hustle and bustle and find healing in nature. The walking distance is about 13 km. The estimated time of dissolution is between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM, but since there are many scenic spots and food stalls, those who wish can stay a bit longer.
