Popular Rock Trail: Nakayama Mountain Range Traverse Hike and Nakayama-dera Wisteria Trellis
The Nakayama Mountain Range stretches impressively across the northern side of Takarazuka City. This representative satoyama of Kansai is a beloved hiking spot, attracting people of all ages throughout the year. Known as the "Takarazuka Rock Garden," the range features popular rocky trails that offer a thrilling climbing experience. While the slopes may seem steep, the granite surface provides excellent grip, making it manageable for beginners who take it one step at a time. We'll enjoy a lunch break at Nakayama's highest peak. On the descent, we'll take a restroom break at Oku-no-in Temple before heading down to Nakayama-dera Temple. From mid to late April, the wisteria trellis at Hoshi-no-Hiroba reaches its peak bloom, displaying a beautiful contrast of purple and white flowers. The total distance is approximately 10 km, with rocky paths, making it a Level 4 hike. Gloves are recommended.
