Beginner-Friendly Alps "Kamikochi & Mt. Norikura" 2-Day Bus Tour

We’ll be doing a 1-night tour to climb Mt. Norikura (3026m), one of Japan's 100 Famous Mountains! Total distance: 6km round trip / Elevation gain: 300m. It’s a perfect introductory course to the Japanese Alps with spectacular views. We’ll take a bus up to Tatamidaira (2700m), the highest point accessible by road in Japan. Accommodation is at a mountain hut just steps from the bus stop, allowing plenty of time for altitude acclimatization before the next day’s hike 👍 From the summit, you can enjoy panoramic views of Mt. Yari, the Hotaka range, the Central Alps, and even the Southern Alps. A crater lake below shimmers emerald green, and there’s also a flower meadow trail (40-minute loop) full of alpine plants! On the first day, we’ll take a relaxing walk through the popular summer resort Kamikochi. The trail from Taisho Pond to Kappa Bridge is about 4km of flat riverside path – sneakers are fine. Enjoy a picture-perfect landscape straight out of a painting. Accommodation: “Kata-no-Koya” (Changed from “Norikura Hakuunso” as of 5/21) There is no bath, but you’ll get even better views of the sunset, starry sky, and sunrise. Optional: a 20-minute walk to Mt. Fujimi for a divine sunrise experience. ☆ You can leave luggage you don’t need for hiking at the hut. ☆ Shared bus with the Kamikochi Tokusawaen event group. ☆ After descending, we’ll stop at “Hirayunomori” day spa for a bath.
