Panoramic View of Five World Heritage Sites – Mt. Myojin Short Hiking

Mt. Myojin has an elevation of only 273.6 meters, but from the summit, a 360° panoramic view opens up, allowing you to see five World Heritage Sites. On the Osaka side, you can view the Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group (a World Heritage Site), Abeno Harukas, and even the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge on a clear day. There is also a picturesque spot known as the “Bell of Eternity,” which has been selected as a "Lover's Sanctuary." In addition, the Kamenose area, which you can look down on from the summit, is known as a region where landslides have repeatedly occurred. It is estimated that the displaced soil volume has reached approximately 15 million cubic meters. We will explain the disasters of that time and the civil engineering technologies used for the countermeasures while viewing the area. The walking distance is about 5 km, and it is a short course that will be completed in the morning. After disbanding at JR Sangō Station, those who wish can go to “Café Funchana,” a bakery café that remains crowded even on weekdays. It is said to offer an all-you-can-eat bread selection along with appetizers, a main dish, and a drink! Of course, bakery purchases only are also welcome.
