Mt. Ousaka Night Hike overlooking Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival
The Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival is one of the most popular fireworks events, attracting around 350,000 people each year. As many as 10,000 fireworks light up Lake Biwa. Why not enjoy a unique Kansai Hikers experience by viewing the fireworks from Mt. Ōsaka, which served as a checkpoint in ancient times for those entering Kyoto? The total hiking distance is about 8km, with an elevation of 325m. It is a gentle hike, but since we will be walking in the dark, caution is required. From the summit, you can enjoy a breathtaking view overlooking Lake Biwa. Headlamp rentals are available for an additional 500 yen.
