From Kyoto’s hidden retreat Takao, follow the Kiyotaki River through the foot of Atago Shrine in Kiyotaki, and head toward Torokko Hozukyō Station. The total distance is about 6.8 km with gentle ups and downs, perfect for enjoying the soothing sound of the stream and the beautiful ravine scenery. You’ll walk past majestic rock walls, emerald-green waters, and paths lined with Kitayama cedar, experiencing the richness of Kyoto’s nature in a compact route. Enjoy lunch by the riverside, dipping your feet in the cool water—it’s a special moment that refreshes both body and mind! From Torokko Hozukyō Station, ride the Sagano Romantic Train and take in the spectacular autumn foliage of the Hozukyō Gorge on the way to Arashiyama. Note: The Hikers Premium Pass cannot be used for this event.
