Minoh Great Falls with beautiful autumn leaves and Katsuo-ji Temple Hiking
Would you like to visit Minoh, known as the “Forest of Autumn Leaves,” where you can enjoy magnificent nature right in Osaka? It takes only 30 minutes by train from Osaka Station to reach Minoh Station, the gateway to an authentic natural environment. With its gentle and safe trail, this route is perfect for beginners and those who prefer a relaxed hiking experience. After walking through the forest for about an hour, you’ll encounter the powerful and breathtaking Minoh Waterfall — one of the Top 100 Waterfalls in Japan. With a 33-meter drop, this beautiful waterfall has long been beloved by both locals and visitors. The trail continues past the Minoh River Dam, with beautiful autumn foliage, and leads to Katsuo-ji Temple, famous for its “Winning Daruma” dolls. After visiting the temple, we’ll return by bus. The total hiking distance is about 8 km, and the mountain level is 3. Most of the route follows paved paths. Participation Fee: ¥1,500 (plus ¥500 temple admission and ¥800 bus fare)
