Wakasagi Fishing & Mt.Nyugasa Snowshoe Trekking Bus Tour
For the first time, Kansai Hikers will organize a bus tour to Nagano in the middle of winter! On the first day, we will experience Wakasagi fishing on Lake Suwa. We will use a dome boat for safety and warmth. All bait and rods will be rented, so you do not need to bring anything with you. We will stay at Pension Ninjin, a nature-oriented pension. They welcome you with their signature dog, Shizuku. Dinner will be hors d'oeuvres specially prepared by the chef and wakasagi (smelt) caught by everyone will be served as tempura. At the Haramura pension area at an altitude of 1,250 meters, you can enjoy the star-filled sky if the weather is clear. On the second day, we will have a stylish morning breakfast at Haramura Cafe, a short walk from the pension. Move to Fujimi Panorama Resort for snowshoe trekking. Mt.Nyugasa is the perfect mountain for an introduction to snow trekking. This is a 3-hour round-trip route that takes you from the gondola station at the top of the mountain to the summit. From the summit of Mt.Nyugasa, you can enjoy a spectacular 360-degree panoramic view colored in white and silver. Mt.Fuji, the Yatsugatake mountain range, and the Southern, Central, and Northern Alps. We will have a late lunch at the gondola station, buy some souvenirs, and return to Kansai. Participation fee: 40,000 yen Payment method: Payment will be collected on the bus (cash, paypay, and credit card accepted) Included in the fee: bus fare, lodging (with 2 meals), wakasagi fishing experience, snowshoe rental (snowshoes, poles), round-trip gondola ticket Not included: meals, snow wear rental (if necessary) Minimum number of participants: 22 ※Snow wear can be rented for 4,600 yen (top and bottom). ※Depending on weather and snow conditions, wakasagi fishing and snow trekking may not be available. ※If the number of participants exceeds 22, we may split the accommodation with a nearby pension.
