Hiking the Yamanobe no Michi, the oldest existing road in Japan & Western-style lunch at Katsui
We will hike the Yamanobe no Michi & Katsui lunch, a famous western cuisine restaurant! This is a 14km walk on a flat road. The Yamanobe no Michi is an ancient road leading from Miwa to Nara. It is called the oldest road in history. The total length of the road is 26 kilometers, but the most popular hiking course is from Sakurai Station to Tenri Station, which retains the appearance of ancient times. There are many mausoleums, ancient tombs, ruins, and old shrines and temples along the route. For lunch, we recommend the fried shrimp at Katsui! The most popular lunch "Fried Shrimp Set Meal" is a true classic of Western cuisine, consisting of two large head shrimps, cream croquettes, and fries. Why not stop by on a weekday hike to this famous restaurant, which is inevitably crowded on holidays.
